David is a Director of the firm and an affiliate of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia, with over 14 years experience in tax consulting with Ernst & Young, Deloitte, PricewaterhouseCoopers and boutique firms. In the ‘Big 4’ David specialised in advising clients on the GST, as well as the R&D Tax Concession and related Government incentives. David joined Clark & Jacobs to assist in these practice areas, as well as expanding into more general business services for clients.
Prior to entering the accounting profession David was an Architect, working for an international firm for 7 years, where he gained significant experience in project management of large commercial projects. While studying for an MBA David was inspired to change careers and began his transition to business advisory and accounting.
David’s client base covers a range of industries, but with a common focus on family groups and high net worth individuals, to whom he provides advice on structuring for asset protection, tax effectiveness, business planning, wealth accumulation and retirement planning.
David also assists R&D clients across all industries, including agriculture, water technology, pharmaceuticals and IT.
